What do you think the X3100 can be compared to (similar to - similar performance)? GeForce 4 series, maybe 5, 6 or maybe even 7 series? What do you think? :D

I've seen you ask plenty of questions on the macbook's graphics so i'll put it this way; it doesn't do games.

If you want to play games, buy a MBP or better still (for gaming) a windows laptop.

It's hard to compare the x3100 to any other brand because the intel drivers are very fickle - they work very well under some games and don't work at all on others.

This may be improved with the expected driver updates under 10.5.2, but don't bank on it.

This is one comparison: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Graphics-Media-Accelerator-X3100.2176.0.html

There is another demonstrating it's comparative performance under different games which illustrates what i explained above; http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=4154

Think Geforce3 at best. $5 dollar graphics have come a long way but they are 5$ graphics.

If under windows yes it can be compared. i play COD4 and Crysis with DX10 and High Res Settings also used a Blu-Ray external drive for a while until my bro broke it so waiting for next trip to US to buy another one.

Mac depends on the other Mac with said graphics card is(MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Pro Etc Etc.....)
