Ad Supported Hosting for my Own Domain?

A friend of mine asked me, and I didn't know. He wants to register his own domain, but then find a hosting service that is free (ad supported). Do you know of any services like this?

There are plenty (just Google "free web hosting").

However, web hosting can be had for very little $ without the ads, which tend to "cheapen" a site.

Plus, if you have a Mac and a static IP address, you can host your own website for free on your own machine!
