Hi
A client had a problem with Ical crashing as soon as it was opened. I created a test user and discovered that it works on the test user and figured out that it must a problem with some preferences on the main user. So I copied the entire contents of the preferences folder into a folder on the desktop called prefs. then tried to use ical again which still did not work. I then restored the Preferences that I had copied to the desktop, but when I restarted the Mac it came up with a completely different desktop, dock and all his e-mail and email settings were gone and he could not connect to the internet. I tried repairing disk permissions using disk utility, verified the disk and even ran fsck -fy from single user mode all to no avail. Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanking you in advance.
