Okay, so I have a pretty extensive wish list for contemplation.
First, I have a G3 iBook currently running Tiger and unable to run leopard or Leopard server.
Second, I have a G4 PowerBook 1.33 running leopard.
Lastly, I have a 320GB External Firewire HD.
What I want to do is hook up the external HD to my iBook and then hook the iBook via ethernet up to my home router. Then I want to be able to backup to the external HD with Time machine from my PowerBook over my wireless network when I'm home. I also want to be able to access my files (not necessarily just my Time Machine Backup, but all of them) while I'm away from home.
I don't mind if there is some sort of *nix solution. Whether it's a whole different OS or maybe just some scripting I can do in OS X. I leave this up to the pros, hit me up with some ideas!
