Finder not working! HD keeps flashing!

Hiya, I dont know what happened and my finder is not working and the HD keep flashing on the desktop. all things on desktop except the HD are disappeared.

I have tried to relaunch the Finder but its not responding.

So what can I do?Please help.

When you say you tried to relauch, does that mean that you went to force quit and then hit force relaunch?

I have the same problem actually. Used to be that the desktop would reset just when I tried to access a few choice folders, but now it just does it almost constantly. I've tried re-launching and restarting, and it's still resetting intermittently as I type. The rest of my programs work fine. Any tips would be helpful.

I had this problem myself...

Couldn't figure it out and it got pretty severe on my computer, so I took it to the Mac store.
All you need to do is boot in safe mode and then go in and delete your desktop folder. The folder should recreate itself and the problem should be solved!
