Im desperate for help here, i was just trying to install some new software from a dmg file on my iMac G5. It shut down and won't switch back on now!

I don't know what to try, everytime i press the on button it immediately switches off. One time the light on the mac stayed on but the nothing happened, it didnt start up at all.

Hope someone can help.

The volume The volume ive needs to be repaired.

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit.

I've never seen this before. Anyone got any ideas?
