View Full Version : Can't get PB to work with external monitor

Hi there,

I have the latest version of the 12" PB (with mini-DVI out) and the appropriate mini-DVI to VGA adapter. The problem is that when I plug the PB into my monitor, the monitor registers no signal, while the PB correctly identifies the attached Viewsonic E770. I've tried adjusting the mirroring, rebooting with monitor attached, etc, but can't get any video. Does anyone have any ideas?

control panel/displays/detect displays

if that doesn't work, reboot your PB

I did all that. No luck. The monitor is known to work, as well.

this seems silly, but I have seen it before, unplug the monitor cord from the PB, unplug the video cord from the monitor, then plug them both back in, could be that you do not have it plugged in all the way....
