I tried to set up an FTP server on my MacBook for a friend to use. I installed PureFTPd Manager and set-up my Downloads folder at the root of the server for him to upload to. I/he couldn't get it to work so I uninstalled the app and told it to remove all my settings. Now I get the message that I do not have sufficient privileges to access it and I'm totally screwed! 😡

I've tried reinstalling PureFTPd to get the permission back but thats not working. I've also tried repairing permissions using disc utility and that didn't work. So how can i remove the stupid permissions set by PureFTPd? 😕

Sharing & Permissions shows:

_unknown - Read & Write
everyone - No Access

EDIT: Fixed this myself! I feel like such a n00b ... I forgot as admin i can change the permissions using the padlock!! I guess coming from Windows you sometimes can't see the forest for the trees.
