Well, is it very good?

I plan on getting an iMac, but I'm worried that it won't pick me up, or that it's not gonna be very good quality. I plan on using it for general VoIP, and to record podcasts until I can afford a new headset.

It works great for VoIP and podcasting. I normally use it with a pair of headphones.

Okay, great. But what's it maximum range before it doesn't pick you up anymore? 'Cause I'll be between 4-5 feet away from the mic.
