Can you play DivX and other kinds of videos on iPod Touch? To this point, I've only seen videos on iPod Videos that are from the Apple store...is it standard to be able to play other videos on ipods with video, or if not, is it doable once hacked?

Your best bet is probably to convert those DivX files to .mp4 format with something like iSquint.
