Hello all, new to the site.
I have a question...
I am trying to VPN to an online server. The problem is that the username and pass have the ALT255 "non-breaking character" in them. This is good security if your on a pc, but I can't make it work on a mac. I tried the OPTION/SPACE but that didnt work.
Anyone have any suggestions for this?

Thx,
Wayniac

The alt255 is a blank character, you dont see it but it leaves a blank space

alt-225 is an invisible character so you can make folders have no name or make a very secure password as in the OP's case. im not sure how to do this on a Mac.

wait i think ive found it for ya. open "Special Characters" in Safari's Edit menu or press "option-command-T", search for "invisible" and click on "INVISIBLE SEPERATOR"⁣⁣ then choose either of the empty ones and copy them. when i paste it into Safari i get "ALT225" so it must be it.

It seems that is it. although still not working properly, i believe it is an issue with the way the server is set up. But your idea worked for the SpecialCharacter.

Thanks for the help.
