Jailbreaking and the 5 apps question

my touch is coming on friday, and it's not going to have the apps on it since i bought it from a store online. i am pretty sure i'm going to be Jailbreaking it right away. my question is, are the apps you can get through JBing (mail, maps, notes, stocks, weather), exactly the same as those you can purchase, or are they inferior in some way?

They are the same. Both allow you to use the iPhone apps on the iPod touch.

I must have gone through at least 5 different tutorials and have gotten lost, confused, or had to RE-jailbreak my ipod so many times...
