I downloaded an image of of bittorrent that was 2.5 gigs compressed, but it wouldnt open, so I used Zipeg, and it extracted the image, which is 6.6 gigs uncompressed. Of course, now I can't burn the image to a dvd, but I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to burn the image while compressed? Thanks a bunch.

I don't think you can burn an ISO while compressed... otherwise you'd have magically got rid of 4Gb permanently somehow...

Even so, 6.6Gb will fit on some DVDs.

I was thinking about that, but I havent found a single pack of 9gb discs that's not 50 or 100, and I have no other images that are this big. Is it even possible to do this?

Nearly every drug store has DL discs, you only need one. You could also invest in Toast and spand the image over two discs.
