internet speed !!!!!

just got a 15 titan powerbook and am very happy with it except for bat life 2.5 but i can live with that !!!
so anyway can someone reconmend a program to speed up my internet speed which is 35k , i am using a dial up 56k line but my pc is quicker why ??????

Whenever I use Win98SE on Virtual PC, the PC browsers swear that the transfer speeds are faster than what the Mac browsers state on that same machine and connection. :D

So, are you saying that your PC modem gets something better than 35K or that something other than the system is reporting faster speeds?

There is at least one browser plug-in (speed download?) that does some specialised caching to quicken things. I haven't used it, obviously, but it might be worth a look.
