iMovie Export for DVD

Hi everyone, I'm new to video editing and have a question.

I've imported several VHS tapes using the Canopus ADVC 110 and edited them using iMovie '08 with no problems. I'm ready to burn the movies onto a DVD but the best quality I get by exporting using the large file export preset in iMovie leaves the video kind of blockish.

I have around 5.5 gb of compressed video to put on a DL DVD so I would like to find a way to export at a quality fit for viewing on at least a 42" screen.
