Installed the combo update and all looks well so far. Speed improvements are the most noticeable thing for me other than stacks, time machine, and menu bar changes.

well there we go!!
I'm successfully writing this on my mac pro, version 10.5.2!!
No dropouts - rock solid signal!!
I'm not being too cocky though until i give it a thorough test tomorrow. But i have to say, so far so good!! Been surfing around for 10 minutes and it's great!
Well done apple!

1 minute used to be an achievement!
i must have had a terrible case of airport dropouts, but - touch wood - they seem to be ok, upto 30 mins now and still a rock solid signal

Yes, the issue meant that any amount of time was an achievement.

One nice thing I have noticed - I can do time machine backups on my mac book wirelessly while operating on battery power. Before 10.5.2 it would only backup while off the battery.

That sucks.
You know, I have problems with wireless at home and at work, with Macs and PCs, and with Netgear, Linksys and Belkin. No specific pattern other than my MBP sucks at bit more than my company's three Dells.
Is "N" ********* up? Is it WPA? WPA2?
I never had these problems five years ago when I was on WEP.

The only problems I have are with WEP and Netgear and Leopard, everything else seems to work fine.

And? How is the update working for everyone? Did it fix your problems (if you had them)?
haven't noticed anything yet but i guess that's a good thing.

Strange. Why didn't they just include it in the upgrade to 10.5.2?

Probably a stupid question but how are you backing up to time machine wirelesly?
Are you using a NAS device or do you have a external hd hooked up to an airport station? I wasn't aware that time machine would let you back up wirelessly to an external hd/NAS..
I"m looking to do something similar but I don't want to pay so much for time capsule when it comes out..
any help would be appreciated!

I have an external HD hooked up to another mac that's on the same network that I am backing up to. As far as I know, they still have not "fixed" the airdisk issue.

Not so - My Power Mac G4 required it. But that's because my video card is a Radeon 9800; some video cards are covered by it, others aren't.

Speed of computer on the whole has increased for me
Safari seems a bit slicker speed wise
Safari load up is the same though

Really haven't noticed any significant performance improvement. The time machine improvements are good. I did the upgrade to keep current.

After upgrading to 10.5.2, uploading a file to my iDisk is now much slower...speed used to average 93kb/s, now it jumps around from 20kb/s to 62kb/s...I was hoping this upgrade would provide improvements...this is really annoying.

I did the update, got the graphics update after 10.5.2 loaded as well.
The first thing I noticed, I've not used time machine yet, not turned it on, or put it on the top bar. After 10.5.2 update, it put the "status" indicator on menu bar all on it's own.
Secondly, I NEVER used screensavers because all of them make my computer fry, and the fan sounds like a jet engine. After this update, the ss came on, and no fan noise. Thank god.

The TS menu icon is a new feature in 10.5.2 that is turned on by default (see 10.5.2 release notes).

I installed both the 10.5.2 and graphics updates last night. Weird thing for me was that since I bought my MBP I have used it 99+% wirelessly at home, and never had airport drop me... not even once. Last night while trying to get the graphics update, airport did drop me for the very first time. I went wired, got the update, and am rocking and rolling now.
