i saw this over at thinksecret boards
download the software 1k windows (http://www.vgg.com/rob/WindowsBloom.html)
make sure you don't have any running apps
and plz post your results along with the system setup
i got 30 seconds
g4 867
1.5 gigs ram
ati 9000 64 megs
edit: good point 10.3 7b85 yes i am going to buy it
is no one intrested in this thread?

Oh my, don't forget to include what OS X version you're running too! (I would post my own results by I'm Mac-less for a couple more weeks)

Here's some interesting results on my iMac 800 17" with 768MB RAM:
53 seconds with just Finder open with a blue background.
50 seconds if I open TextEdit and maximize. I did this so it would have to recreate a white window all the time.
OS X 10.2.8 (2nd release)

GeForce 4mx 32MB VRAM (I'd expect that it would do a lot better on a faster vid card because of quartz extreme as per the other posts)

Using my same iMac after a fresh install of Panther:
34 seconds
