syncing question

so my computer was starting to feel a little sluggish and i was running out of HDD space...so i upgraded my ram and did an erase and install of leapord..

my question is when i sync my contacts from my iphone will transfer to my address book correct?

i just want to make sure as i definitely do not want to lose all of my contacts from phone?

They will sync from your iPhone to your computer (I did it in November), as will your events, and you can even sync back your e-mail accounts.
