Hi,
I am running mac 10.4.11 on the MacPro & suddenly the keychain pops up in Dreamweaver. Because of this all FTP info keeps getting deleted, I enter the login & password, then the keychain comes up again.
I never setup keychain & no password allows me to make changes.
More recently it also started to pop open when I am in safari. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Sounds like you changed your password using the Installer DVD or from another account.

Go to /Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access.app and change your keychain password there. Your "old password" refers to the one you had before it was changed.

If you don't remember that password, remove the login.keychain file and logout and login and start over.

~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain

keychain

Yes, that is what I did - I had forgotten until you mentioned it.
However, I went into the keychain app & there is no passwords or keys listed. As I never use the keychain. Is there anyway to make it stop popping up?

No, the keychain is an integral part of the OS.

One of the pull-down menus has the change keychain password choice.
