Is it ok to delete the folder named "Previous Systems"?

Hello. I upgraded to Leopard few months ago when it came out. I found that under the "Macintosh HD" directory, there is a folder named "Previous Systems". Can I delete the folder now? Will there be problems if I remove it permanently? Thanks.
 
It's safe to delete if you don't have any non-user files or applications you want to save from it.
