I saw these guys open for Tenacious D on Halloween, 2001. They played a tight set and kept the audience's attention, despite the fact that we were all waiting for Jack Black to hit the stage. Solid, no-frills rock-n-roll.

I bought Phantom Planets CD "The Guest" last week and I've been listening to it ever since. I can't believe how great an album this is and how little press and exposure these guys get. Definitely check it out.

I probably hate them so much because my sister used to be obsessed with them. I was forced to listen to them all. the. time.

But really, anyone wanna count the number of times they say lonely in that song?
