I have used my iPod on my PC for a few months now, leaving it Mac formatted and using EphPod and MacOpener.

When iTunes came out, I decided to use it for transfering to my iPod. So, I downloaded some firmware updaters for the iPod, and used the "restore" function. Currently I have my iPod with version 1.2.6, and have tried 1.3 as well, but I'm having problems....

The iPod will mount as a hard drive, and will be recognized by windows as a FAT32 drive, however iTunes will not sync with it ("update to iPod" menu option greyed out), and niether will MusicMatch. :(

Any help and ideas appriciated.

P.S. I am going on a trip to Washington, DC on Saturday, and I'd really like to take it with me, so I need to fix it by then. :D

If it mounts as a harddrive, but wont auto update, just drag and drop all your music onto it.
