I bought a 12" PB yesterday. One of the pre-Sept 867MHz models. Fitted an Airport Extreme card today, but am having teething problems.
MacStumbler says the connection to my wireless router (D-Link DI624) is 70%, even when the PB is right next to it. It drops to 30% when I take it downstairs. My previous laptop, and the PC downstairs both have very good signal quality.
Why is the signal so poor? I can surf the Internet okay, and play music from my iMac upstairs, but movie playback is very jerky to non-existant, over the network.
I transferred one of the movies to the PB directly, and played it. It was better but still a bit jerky. This was through the latest version of MPlayerX.
