Quicker to buy from a reseller?

Hello,

I'm looking to get a mac pro with the 8800 GT graphics card. Do you guys think that if I buy from a reseller that I will get my computer shipped to me quicker than if I bought directly from apple? answers on a postcard.

First off, it is ALWAS cheaper to buy from a reseller like Amazon, MacMall, etc than from Apple...don't know why Apple doesn't drop their prices also. Secondly, if what you're ordering is a standard model that does not need modifications then anywhere you purchase it from will ship the same speed if you select "next day air".

I'm not getting a standard MP, I'm getting a single Quad, 4GB RAM, 8800 GT graphics card, 500GB HD MacPro - will I get this quicker from a reseller than if I buy directly from apple?

No you won't because the pro you want is build to order and thus not available by a reseller.

Is there anywhere, besides Apple, to get the 8800 GT upgrade, 5-7 weeks is craziness.
