Hard drive space?

I've been downloading some songs and photos how can i check how much hard drive space is available?
 
You can see your available HD space at the bottom of every Finder window, or view it in Activity Monitor (in the Utilities folder).
 
or, to see it at all times, right click on your desktop and select view options, then check the box marked "show item info"
