Half a mile away from my place, a plane crashed in the middle of a major intersection. It was insane, thousands of college students were out to see it! Miraculously, the pilot was alright and only broke his leg.

That's pretty pathetic. So there's really so little to do in your town that they have to stand there and stare at a plane lying in the middle of the road? I guess I've just never been of the "let's stand and stare at the accident" mentality...

Looks like a forced landing, which is not necessarily the same thing as a "crash."

Gear up though, that's odd.

Well, it does look that it's nose-in. Maybe they attempted a gear-up (belly) landing on the street and the tail went up...

That'd be my guess. Prop strike into asphalt, or hit a car, and whoopsie-daisy. It hasn't turned up in the NTSB accident database yet.

An airplane crashes onto a road, and you think it's pathetic that people stand and watch? Are you human?

What would you do, walk past it and pretend not to see it? Act cool?

Once the plane has already crashed, there's not much to see. It does seem odd to me that thousands of students are wandering around the scene after the fact. I lost interest in the video about 15 seconds in.
