Hey guys

I got my mac a couple of days ago and there are alot of programs which need updates - does this work the same was as PCs do.... as in do the updates take loads of Hard Drive space?

They take extra space during installation (due to decompression), but most will not greatly increase disk usage once installed - there may be some increase, but it's not likely to be enough to worry about.

I use both smcFanControl and iStatPro along with MenuMeters (http://www.ragingmenace.com/software/menumeters/) to keep tabs on system info.
