Okay, who is going to which Apple Store tonite to see the Panther happening? :)
I will probably go to North Michigan Avenue, around 6 or 7, that's the closest to where I live. Even when I'll get my Panther in mail, still don't feel like missing it. ;)

I'll be at the Clarendon store as well, hopefully after the silliness ;) I can't get there early, so in this case a little later for me will work.

Your best bet would be the Chestnut Hill Mall. Come up 93 to 128 towards Dedham and then get off at Route 9 heading toward Boston. Hope that I will get to see you there.

I'll be at the CambridgeSide Galleria here in Cambridge .. it's only about a 20 min walk from my cozy abode here at MIT.
Mm .. I've missed every Apple Event before this one, I'm kind of excited :)

Don't bother driving. Take the train to South Station, then take the Red line to the Green line at Park Street. Take the Green line to Lechmere. Then ask someone how to get to Cambridgeside Galleria. There's a tunnel you go through to get on the other side of the station.
I modified a Mapquest pic for you here:

I don't know whether I should stay, go to CambridgeSide, and go home later. Or should I go home ASAP, and just install and play with Panther. Decisions, decisions...

I'm getting ready to leave now for my Chestnut Hill Mall. Driving from Providence might be less of a hassle than the train.

Ironically, I'll be at the Woodfield Apple store tonight myself - there's no Apple store even close to Utica, NY, but I'm in Itasca on business...

Just got back from the Millenia Mall store (Orlando). My mom's picking up our copy of Panther from FedEx tomorrow (we weren't here when they tried to deliver it. ) Oh well. The new iBooks and G5's are nice, and Panther seems to be great.

I just got back from the CambridgeSide Galleria apple store. It was pretty neat .. and the Dog Tags are a lot cooler than I expected. I can't wait to order my copy of Panther from the online education store, playing with Exposé was just too much fun! heh
And it does look a lot sleeker than I had expected. The new visuals are very appealing and it was very snappy on the iMac I played with.

I just got back from visiting my local Apple Store @ the Chestnut Hill Mall. Had a great time. My wife and I were first in the line. Purchase Panther and took advantage of the 10% discount. My wife got a 15" PowerBook.

I had a last minute change in plans...My dad came really tired from work and couln't drive me to the Apple Store:( The only reason I wanted to go is to get the Dog Tag...If anyone is willin' (Or find it in the bottom of their hearts ;) ) to "give" me one or sell me one for free that'll be a good thing....Email me @ accrcboy@aol.com AIM: Accrc OR post a reply in my thread in the Sales Section of this site....
This really bummed me though. I was so prepared to go to the store but oh well....
So how was the Event?

It can't really be that only JelloShotsRule and me were the whole MacRumors contingient at the SoHo shop, can it?
SoHo -- it was super. The line to get in was wrapped around the corner of Prince and Greene all the way to Houston.
Lots of people were taking video footage, so hopefully we'll get to see some coverage -- and maybe idea_hamster will get "discovered". HA!

Yes, thank you for asking. The 10% discount was the incentive, plus American Express has a 5% promotion this month on large ticket items. She is working on setting up her new 15" PB as I type.
What happened, did the store run out of the entry cards? Sorry to hear about your problem. Did you enjoy your visit?

wdlove,
That is so cool! I bet she will enjoy that PB for a long time. The reason I couldn't win anything is because I work for an authorized reseller....not because of the lack of registration cards! Yes, I enjoyed my visit. I think some of the Apple employees were kinda miffed that I was there though because most of them know I worked for another dealer. I have interviewed for a job at this store, but I kinda feel like I got screwed in the deal because they didn't hire anybody after interviewing a bunch of people. I wanted to go there to support Apple and test out Panther....so in reality I was coming in as a user.....not as a reseller employee.
