Just Purchased ATV HELP !!!!

Hi,

Need some help please, just purchased ATV and really pleased with it, got it setup really quick paired with my MINI MAC and my girlfriends I MAC superb no worries.

I tried converting a movie with Mac The Ripper and Handbrake and it takes ages !!! Is this the best option or is another software quicker to do it with (or is this norm), Is there any other quicker way of converting all my DVD collection to ATV ????

Also i have read it takes ages to sync, can i just stick a cross over cable from my ATV to Mini MAC ? Sorry for all questions but bit of a newbie ??

Yes, that's the recommended way to do things on the Mac.

As discussed in the other topics, the best way seems to be to rip quite a few discs, add them to a Q and then do the Handbrake stuff overnight as that's the bit that really takes time.

Cheers for response, regarding syncing ? Can i have a cross over cable to my APPLE TV for speed issues or is this not possible as i heard it takes ages to sync it up to your itunes wirless ?

Yup, you certainly can. That'll sync it faster than Wireless. :)
