Upgraded RAM and Photoshop is STILL freezing...

I upgraded to a 2GB RAM stick but now Photoshop is crashing even more. Almost everytime I open it, it freezes and I have to force it to quit 2 times before it actually starts to work.

Try reinstalling Photoshop, that may do the trick.

Have you more than one version installed?
Although I have CS2 and CS3 both installed on my Mac Pro without any problems, I've heard of others who have experienced problems when they had more than one version installed.

No. With my 2 512MB RAM sticks I've never had it crash that many times (if at all) at once.

Remove the new ram, and try again. If all is OK, then your "new" ram would seem to the culprit.

Yeah. People have been telling me I should have purchased 2x1GB sticks instead of a 2GB stick, cause I have one empty RAM slot now.

Could that be the problem? I just requested my RMA to ship it back and get dual 1GB sticks instead.

It has to be the RAM, cause now its crashing even more than usual.
