I found and fixed what was wrong with my Imac G5.
It was my airport the whole time. And its only problem was that it was loose, which in turn caused a kernel panic upon startup. I used to move my imac around a lot so that explains how it came loose.
I simply tightened it up and now it works.
It actually took me awhile to figure this out...nobody on here suggested that the airport could be an issue. Apparently, this model imac has an airport card that CANT be replaced as it is built in to the mother board somehow (the original model imac g5's airport can be replaced).
But i did install a new hd and reinstalled my OS thinking that was the problem. thank god i backed up my files. But now im back to 10.4 and factory settings. Oh well, now i have a 300 G hard drive.
