ways to backup iPod touch files

are there ways I can back up the songs in my iPod touch into computer? I got a lots of songs that's only in my touch but no back up at all. Need to find ways to back them up in hd from touch. Thanks

The content from your iPod touch is already on your computer so there is no need to back up, but iTunes does back up the settings on iPod touch/iPhones on iTunes as well.
