The Painter UI did need a clean-up. I like it!
If the pro Painter gets a similar re-organization I might just upgrade.
If not, then Painter Essentials 4 bundled with a low-end Wacom tablet will be a deal I can't pass up--some day. (The Bamboo tablet still has PE3 for now.) I miss my Wacom tablet--it's too old to use now. ADB!
Better yet... if Cintiq tablets ever drop below $600. They're getting there slowly. Even 4x6 or so with display would be great.

Totally agree, except I 'downgraded' to see what it was like compared to Painter X (for the upgrade price from the bundled PE3 that came with the Wacom tablet).
And I like it a lot better. It's a much definitely improved and more intuitive user interface which I hope they translate to the next Painter XI. Even with less features than Painter X, the new UI will probably make PE4 more productive to the new/average user.
