Speakers pop

i installed panther and why i was listening to music i noticed my speakers were just randomly popping, then i turned off itunes and they continued to pop, this happend right after i finished installing. am i the only one who has this problem?
im on a 17" imac if that matters

I've not heard popping yet while listening to music in iTunes, but I did notice that my speakers always pop while the OS X is booting up. This began happening immediately after installing 10.3 and has happened consistently every time I've started up.

Occasionally my speakers just pop randomly for a few minutes but I normally have them muted. Your not the only one though I guess. Also anyone else having problems with mirror agent not quitting and not being able to log out, shut down or restart because of it?

I got that too last night on my powerbook but it asked if I wanted to force quit it which I did.
