so..leopard is on a DL DVD...and my iBook G4 1.33, 512 just spits it out after trying to read it. Anyway around this? 🙂

All DVD drives can read DL DVDs. Sounds like a dirty drive. Get a cleaning disc then try again.
If may also be that the drive is slightly out of Red Book specs, so the drive thinks it may not actually be a disc. If you just bought it, I'd call Apple Care and see if they can help or visit an Apple Store.

Other discs work in the drive and the leopard disc works in other machines. I was doing some googling, apparently a lot ibooks are spitting it out. So I dunno.......
also, I made an DMG and ISO on my other machine...is there any other way to install to my ibook...without a firewire cable?
