One side of the speaker not working?

I just noticed that when I play music or when I use the speakerphone feature only the left speaker creates sound. Are they all like this or is mine broken or do I have a setting changed?
 
Ok because on the images on the apple website say that both sides are speakers. So the whole right side is just a microphone?
 
I wish I had heard it here first.

I made an appointment with the Genius Bar to find out that the other "speaker" is a microphone. DOH!😛
