Disabling Fonts

Quick question re: fonts

I have far more fonts than I need right now on my system (bit of a lull in the graphic design side of my life), and hoping to streamline my boot time... I'd prefer to just disable the fonts using fontbook, but I was hoping to find out if this would yield the same decreased boot-time as removing the fonts completely. Any word?
