iPod touch How to get album art on my imported CDs?

Three ways:

1) Advanced/"Get Album Artwork" -- Gets artwork for most titles, especially those from iTunes store (and maybe only from them)

2) Do it manually -- "right click" a song and "Get Info"...then copy and paste the picture in that little white box where the artwork needs to go

3) GimmeSomeTune -- If you have a mac, this is the best widget you should get. You can set it up to automatically retrieve the album artwork (via amazon.com) and get the lyrics (from somewhere)

I'm a noob, I didn't know about #2, lol. I am using it atm, it is awesome. I'm assuming it only does the legit ones, like with every album anme the same? Because all of mine are like that. Thanks btw 🙂

P.S. Is there a way to get album artwork on an iPod without the copy/paste way?

I kinda have no idea what you are talking about. in that first part of your message, but haha whatever.

And, like I said "GimmeSomeTune" does it for you, its a really cool ... well its not a widget like I said its actually a program that sits on your menu bar that lets you forward, pause, play, and rewind tracks so you don't have to be on iTunes all the time. And you can ask it to get the lyrics AND artwork for your iPod. It is free and available on the Apple website.

Also, Get Album Artwork ("Option 1") works for purchased stuff from the store and some other songs.

Both options I said above will ONLY work if you have the correct title of song, album, and artist. And furthermore, GimmeSomeTune generalizes the album artwork for the entire album...so if you listen to one song on the album and GimmeSomeTune finds the artwork, it will paste it on that album as well as every other song in that album, even though you haven't listened to them yet. Pretty cool!

(And if you do it manually, you can copy paste the artwork to a number of selected songs by shift clicking the songs u want and then doing the "Get Info" option)

problem is that Amazon artwork is not always the greatest quality

cdcovers.cc, iTunes or actually scanning the CD cover yourself is the best source for high quality artwork however all these methods are labour intensive of course

I use All CD Covers for all my artwork needs. Just search in the artist of the album, a song from that album, or the albums name and hit enter. Great high quality, front and back, artwork covers, free to download. This is, of course, to be used in conjunction with the 'manual' process of adding artwork to albums in iTunes, as stated above.

Choose your song > Right click > Get info > Artwork tab > Browse.
