I must've got lucky with my battery or something... Mine's almost at 300 cycles and it's still at 98%. It's been at 100% until about a week ago, too.

As you can see I have had my Powerbook for a couple of years and it gets some major hammering! According to coconut battery it is still functioning at 100%.

Great!!

My MacBook apparently gained battery capacity at some point, which is weird. I have to say, it makes me wonder a little bit about it's accuracy, but it's still a good battery, and if this is right, I'm pretty lucky.

I think this is because the current Mac notebook batteries don't suffer from the memory effect.

Yeah... I think something screwed itself up there. There's no way a battery with an original capacity of 492 mAh has a capacity of 2769 mAh, with a current charge of 12080 mAh.

For whatever reason I don't trust coconut battery. Especially since iStatPro says that I have 93 charge cycles. That, and my MB isn't plugged in right now.

sorry to burst your bubble, but coconut battery is reading your battery info wrong.

there's no way your battery originally had a capacity of only 492mAh, and theres no way you now have 12080mAh. If this were true, that means that your battery has more than 24x it's original capacity, and this would have exploded a long time ago if it were true.

also, if you have 5400 charge cycles in only 24 months, thats 207 charges per month... and we all know there only 30 days in a month. that's about 7 full charges per day. this is impossible.

i hope they update coconut battery soon to work properly with leopard, and it would make more sense to turn it into a widget rather than an actual application.
