Because the iPhone is not officially available in any Portuguese-speaking countries, I'm pretty confident that there is no Portuguese translation of the interface.

Not available becuase it is not sold in a Portuguese speaking country. You can't even get Spanish on it, and a large segment of the US speaks Spanish.

Hackers managed to get
Russian and Chinese onto 1.1.1 (or was it pre 1.1.1) iPhones, but I think they stopped development after 1.1.2 was released because it's incompatible.
