My Logitech Z-10 usb speakers are not getting recognized on my Mac Pro (Jan 08). I tried different usb ports but they won't show up in the Sound preferences panel. They worked fine on my PowerBook and MacBook.. Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance.

Sadly there are no drivers for the Logitech Z-10 for the Mac, if you google for the drivers for the Mac, you may find an outsider's drivers for it (I tried it, got sound but the controls didn't work)

Thanks silverhawk. Turns out I just had to disconnect the speakers from the power, then reconnect to get them 'seen' again. Very odd, but I can use them again.
Yeah I know the about no-Mac- support. Pity...

I'm having this same problem right now. They worked fine on my 17" iMac but it gives me no option with my Mac Pro :( What to do??

Thanks for the tip. My Z-10's weren't showing up but had worked on my iMac and when I unplugged everything, waited for 30 seconds then reconnected, the Z-10s showed up and when I selected them they worked. I had to do the same kind of thing to get my bluetooth to work properly too.

I have a pair of Altec Lansing XT1 speakers. I have to unplug, then plug them back in on every restart. Fortunately, I don't normally need to [restart], but I keep hoping it'll get addressed on of these updates....

That's got to be a royal pain in the @#% ! Do permissions have anything to do with kind of stuff? I'm thinking no but I'm a neophyte in this stuff.
