The new brushed metal?

For anyone who doesn't yet have Panther, the brushed metal on Quicktime is more subdued than on other applications, which still have the 10.2 metal look. I remember reading a rumor that said that Apple was intending to introduce a new brushed metal look with a .0.1 upgrade to Panther. Could this be it?

Quicktime has always had a subdued metal look. There's really nothing new about that.
