I recently downloaded and installed a 2004 Microsoft Office for Mac update and since then have had problems using the command-o keystroke to open existing files in Word. Something changed....and now I get the beachball and have to quit Word and restart. I am using a G4 Powerbook and have had no problems at all for a long time until recently. I ran Cocktail and repaired all my disc permissions, checked the keystroke assignments and all that looks fine. Not sure what to do - would hate to reinstall the program.
