mail headers are colored

Not sure what happened, but when i open my mail program in leopard, esp in hotmail folder, most of the headers are highlighted in this dark brown color.I haven't set any rules for any incoming emails. how do i get that color out?

Obviously you can set colors based on rules, but it also highlights colors of mails in one 'thread' (replying back and forth in a chain)

Maybe that is what you are seeing?
