I just came home from a spectacular, fantastic, awesome, terrific live performance of David Bowie! :D
It was the "Reality" Tour, currently all over Europe.
Here is the concert report! The special guests, the Dandy Warhols, were, sadly, not really in a top mood that day. They played about 45 minutes, almost at the end there was "Bohemian Like You", and it was the only occasion where the audience was kind of "heating up".
Then it was time for the duke - and shortly after a really cool intro with "Rebel, Rebel" the Warhols were forgotten. It was the real deal. Bowie had great fun, as had his band, even the audience was stunned by the not-so-young-anymore chameleon of music. Songs for example were: 5:15, Changes, China Girl, Let´s Dance, The Motel, Hallo Spaceboy, Fashion, New Killer Star, Heroes, She´ll Drive The Big Car, Bring Me The Disco King, Ashes to Ashes, ...and finally Ziggy :)
All in all, Mr. Bowie brought to us about 2:30 hours of listening pleasure, with 24 songs in total.
As I am also a huge fan of Queen, there was a song... I just wanted to take the stage and kiss him (I´m straight though, yeah) Under Pressure!! Awesome!
A friend of mine made it and smuggled a small digital photo camera in! I will recieve the pictures soon, they look really astonishing!
I just wanted to share this with you people, and I can only recommend, if you´re into Bowie, get that. It is just great. I am definetly looking forward to spring 2004 when he will return...
