I am looking for some software that will allow me to enter complex equations into my Mac. It needs to have support for the entire greek alphabet and the ability to display equations that take up more than one line (summation notation, etc.) along with support for super-script and sub-script values. This will mostly be used for note-taking and does not need to have calculating abilities. Is there any software to do this? I would prefer it to be freeware or shareware as I am on a budget.

Here is one that seems to be popular. http://evolve.lse.ac.uk/software/EquationEditor/ You can export to apps other than Keynote.
I also recently came across a different program with a slick drag and drop interface and all the symbols you needed could be laid out. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of it. Sorry, I know that isn't much help.

You may try this web site, (http://www.mathmagic.com/) or this one. (http://www.livemath.com/)
