Dont know if there has been a poll or if this question has been asked. how many hard drives and or how much space do you have total.
i have an external 1TB that is full of DVDRips a little bit of music and some TV shows. Now I am going to have to buy a second TB hard drive...My main HD in my computer is 320GB but i hate putting music etc on there because of the clutter.
So How Many HD do u have...How Much total Space....and What is on them.

Depending on the track of 1TB drive prices over the next five months (anyone care to venture a guess as to how much they'll be?), I'll be getting the stock 320 with an additional terabyte for HandBroken DVDs (ALL OWNED) and space to have.
If the price on 1TB drives goes low enough, I may get two. OR, if a larger size single drive is released before July, I'll get that. What's next, futurists? 1.25 or 1.5?

Well by the end of next month I will have [between my MacPro and MacBook Pro) a grand total of 3.05 Terabytes.
MacPro has 2 400gig and 1 250gig Internal, with a 1T external Raid 0
MBP has 200gig internal with [coming soon] a 1T Time Capsule
That ought to keep me busy for a few decades...
Conversation with my wife [circa 1983].
Me : "I think I want to get a 10meg HD for my Atari."
Wife : "10Meg! You will never fill something that big!"
Funny how things change...[She is the one that bought me the 1T external!]

I've got the stock 320GB, two 500GB, and one 250GB drive, so that's roughly 1.57TB internally. I have a 500gb external which i'm using for Time Machine on the MP and MBP. Then on my MBP I have 120GB. So roughly 2.19TB in total.

Between my 3 Macs, external hard drives and ipods I've got about 500 GB and about 90% full so it's never enough. Considering buying a HUGE external drive but I think the better solution would be to spend an evening burning everything I don't need and being more efficient with my space management.

if you took it all off, then went to put it back on again, you would probably save about 80%!!!:):):):):)

3.2TB spread across about 12 drives, mostly eSATA. About 95% full. All but probably 100GBs is video work. Fun!

I have a 250GB internal and a 250GB LaCie. The latter is for backup, but I'm moving between computers right now, so it's unused. The internal will be full soon, what with my ever growing iTunes library. I've optimised my file management and everything, but I do still like to archive my stuff. Maybe some day I'll get another external and use it for Time Machine, then use the LaCie to store some of my old stuff. That way, I'd have a MacBook on the go with only the stuff I really need. Plus iTunes, of course.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A93 Safari/419.3)
currently have...
1.96 TB internal and another 5 TB in a variety of External enclosures.
I back up my all my drives in triplicate so a lot of the drives have the same info on them.
Better safe then sorry...

G4: 1070GB total - have about 30 gigs left
G5: 320GB total - have about 100 gigs left
MP08: 1080GB total - have about 700 gigs left (I got this comp on Friday and I'm still working on putting stuff on it)
I also have various laptops where I can put stuff on if need be. The G4 actually has 5 HDs in it, all PATA. MP08 has a 750 and 320.

2 FW400 externals - 1@250, 1@320
PM G4 internals - 1@80, 1@500
1 120 not installed in anything
Powerbook G4 - 1@80
Mac Pro - 1@500 (whenever it gets here...)
Waiting for Mac Pro - 1@750 internal, 1 external FW800 RAID1 @ 500
The current G4 internal 500 GB is going into the Mac Pro when it gets here, and the currently homeless 120 GB will find a home in the G4.
So, 3.1 TB in all between 9 drives. Oof. Of the ones in use, I have about 600 GB free.
Say, is that FedEx I hear knocking?!
Nope, just my uncle.

Are you saying that your drives are not as "zippy" when they are full? Seems like a waste of money buying three 500G drives and have them pretty much empty.

Because my third hard drive mysteriously died on me, I'm currently down to two hard drives:
750GB - 325GB free
500GB - 200GB free
I have another 750GB on order which will put me at 2TB when it arrives.

1.75tb total
2x250 - mirrored raid - Boot
1x500 - Storage
1x500 - Windows/Time Machine
1x250 - external - Protools Sessions
I plan on mirroring the 2 500s and putting a 5th drive in the optical bay, probably another 500.
