iPod Ipod as Music Hard Drive?

Can you use your ipod as ur music hard drive? Meaning, can I delete the songs on my computer and use my ipod as an external hard drive for music?
 
Even if you enable disk mode on your iPod the music folders are hidden, so the only way you can do it is with a little trickery.
