Why buy damaged iphone?

So I was cruising on ebay and find that people are paying outrageous prices for damaged cracked water logged iphones, like 170 bucks 😱 . Why?!?! Am I missing something? 😕

Buy it for $150 and repair it for no more than $250. You got a 8GB iPhone for $400 or less. Dunno whats the difference...but it depends on the damages you can repair it for less.

my son cracked his screen, so bought him a new one and having the screen replaced for 150.00.....so not that bad....
