So I'm on a lan at school, and I'm having NO LUCK connecting to ANY website on Safari, but Internet Explorer seems to be doing just fine. Also, some of the options in Safari prefs just don't do anything, like selecting default text attributes. My second problem is really odd, and I'm not sure if it's internet related but...Ichat A/V--I can't EVER see my own text. It sends it, but I can never see it in my dialogue window. Thoughts?

You are probably using a proxy-server for Internet connections in your LAN. In IE the proxy setting are done within the app. For Safari you need to enter the settings in network control panel...
